Jeffrie Felter M.D.
Dr. Jeffrie Felter received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He completed a surgical internship and first year surgical residency at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. He completed his training under the combined Harvard Orthopaedic Residency Program, including rotations through Mass General Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital. Part of his training was also in the United States Naval Hospital at Chelsea and Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Dr. Felter came to Albuquerque in 1989 and practiced in the Orthopedics Department at the Lovelace Medical Center from 1989-2000. He came out of retirement in November of 2002 to practice at Academy Orthopaedic Clinic. At the present time, he works at the Clinic part of the year and spends the rest of his time in Mexico.
Rosalind Epstein M.D.
Dr. Rosalind Epstein received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of California, Davis, and completed both her Internship (General Surgery) and Residency (Orthopaedic Surgery) at the University of Missouri. She has done presentations on Orthopedic Surgery in Missouri, Arizona, and New Mexico.
Dr. Epstein began her career in Albuquerque as an orthopedic surgeon at Lovelace Medical Group where she specialized in total joint replacement surgery and was instrumental in training orthopedic residents from the University of New Mexico. She then moved to her own practice for four years before joining Academy Orthopedic Clinic in January of 2012.
Danielle McCarthy, PA-C
Danielle McCarthy, PA, graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and studied at the University of Saint Francis to earn her Master of Science degree in Allied Health, from the Physician Assistant Program. She has worked in the Orthopedic Specialty since she graduated in 2008.
Danielle is a very skilled and personable Physician’s Assistant. She always does her best to work with her patients and figure out how to best serve their needs and accommodate their lifestyle when coming up with a care plan for them.
Danielle is a native of New Mexico. She is currently married with two young children, and she loves to spend her free time with her family.
Josh Lloyd, N.D.
My name is Joshua Lloyd, and I am excited to be a provider at Academy Orthopedic Clinic. I grew up in Albuquerque, and after graduating high school, I spent four years in the Navy. In 2000, after my time in the service, I came back to Albuquerque and began studying exercise science at the University of New Mexico. I graduated magna cum laude from UNM and began pursuing my naturopathic doctoral degree at Basytr University in Seattle in 2005. After graduating in 2010, I worked for four years at an integrative medical and dental clinic outside Boston.
In May 2010, I moved back home to New Mexico and began teaching anatomy and physiology, public health, nutrition, and pharmacology. I became a licensed nutritionist in New Mexico in 2o16. I have a strong background in exercise, nutrition, and supplements within the context of orthopedic illnesses. I am excited to be working at Academy Orthopedic Clinic, and I am confident our patients can achieve new levels of health through our integrative heath programs! I look forward to helping more of our patients gain fresh perspectives on their health and well-being.
